What Is Included in a Bar Trivia Pack? A USA Edition Walkthrough

A self-hosted bar trivia pack gives your presenter the material to run the quiz. The venue supplies the host, printing, equipment and prizes. To show how the files fit together, here is a walkthrough of The Quiz Head's USA edition for the week ending September 20, 2026.

This full-edition example contains five files: a nine-page host master PDF, a two-page player answer PDF, a one-page picture round PDF, a 36-slide PowerPoint presentation and an MP4 music round. Plan inclusions can differ, so check your selected USA trivia package before buying.

The five files and who uses them

Host master PDF. The nine-page master is the presenter's reference. This edition includes setup instructions, four numbered rounds, answers, extra game material and tie-breakers. Read it before the event and keep the answer material at the host's desk.

Player answer PDF. The two-page sheet gives teams space to write their answers. Each page has two numbered round sections, with a tear line between them. Each round includes spaces for the team name and score. The second page also has music and jackpot answer spaces. These are blank response sheets, separate from the host's answer key.

Picture round PDF. This edition includes a separate one-page picture round. Print a copy for each team and check the images at the size you intend to use. Keep its answers with the host's material.

PowerPoint presentation. The PPTX file in this edition has 36 slides. Open the presentation on the computer you will use at the venue, connect the display and rehearse the slide sequence before players arrive. A slide count describes this edition; it is not a promise that every pack has the same number of slides.

Music round. The music file is supplied as MP4 in this edition. Check that your player opens it and that the sound reaches the back of the room. Keep the music file with the other files for the same edition so your host can find it during the round.

What to print for a ten-team night

For ten teams using this edition's two-page player sheet, printing one complete copy per team means 20 player pages. Add ten copies of the one-page picture round: 30 team-facing pages in total. Print spare copies according to your expected walk-ins. Your host master and score tracker are additional.

That example assumes single-sided printing. If you want to collect round sections separately, test the tear lines before choosing duplex printing; putting later rounds on the reverse can make collection awkward. Ask every team to write its name on each section it hands in.

Use the trivia marking guide and host score tracker to plan how you will collect answers, resolve corrections and record totals. The team response sheet and the host's running score record have different jobs.

Can you edit the pack?

The three PDFs in this example are printable documents without interactive form fields. They are not supplied as Word documents. The presentation is a PPTX file, but you should test the specific text or image you want to change in your presentation software before planning an adapted round.

Keep the host and player materials separate

Set up a host folder containing the master, presentation, music and your running score record. Keep the player handouts in a separate print pile. Before using a shared screen, check which window is visible to the room; the host's answer key should stay private.

The pack instructions call for checking sound, reading the questions and answers, preparing team sheets and choosing prizes before the night starts. A rehearsal makes this concrete: open each file, print one team set, practice a round change and check the display from a player table.
